Late December 2012 - Metal Element & Siding

Peter working with the positioning of the metal element mock-up that will be our house number.

This will be an "L-shaped" piece of Iron 12" tall with the house number cut in with a plasma cutter.
The porch light will illuminate through the house number from behind for that contemporary touch.

Thad Lefebvre, the metal fabricator, sent the first photo to show us the house numbers.

The sun shines through the sign onto the house.

First snow!!!  View out my new kitchen window.

First day of siding!!!  Christmas eve.......17 degree wind chill.....
CertainTeed cement board siding primed.

The pattern is one large, two small, one large, two small.   Now what color shall we paint it???

Early October 2012 - Ground breaking.

The sign goes up.

Horizontal drill rig to drill under the trees and across the street to connect to the sewer main.

Sewer main located across the street.

Locating the water line before they bore across the street.

Picture of the sewer main exposed right after the bore punched through right on target.

Sewer area covered up, black topsoil brought in for the neighbors yard.

All ready for the seed & straw.

The dirt work and footings begin.

Peter checking the width of the driveway.

Trackhoe digging the foundation walls on the north side of the house.  The bucket is sitting where the living room will be.

This is the master bedroom (northwest corner of the house).    So looking straight ahead will be our "treehouse" view out the bedroom window.

Another shot of the master bedroom with closer view of where window will be.

In the far background is the master bedroom.   In the foreground is the living room.

Our view off of the kitchen.  Beautiful.....
